Managing human capital is an essential organizational process which contributes to the effective achievement of high levels of individual and organisational performance. As such, it establishes shared understanding about what is to be achieved and an approach to leading and developing people which will ensure that it is achieved. It involves the alignment of leadership and human resource strategy to effectively reach organisational objectives. The aims of this unit is to introduce students to the concepts, techniques and processes of human resource management and its importance in achieving organisational growth. 3 dimensions will be incorporated to the course: (i) performance improvement, (ii) development and (iii) managing human behaviour.
